All dives
have alphanumeric names. At dive meets; dives are called by
their alphanumeric names. With this chart you will immediately
know what dive has been announced.
Example:
A 103C is a "Forward 1 1/2 Somersault Tuck" How
do we know that? it's easy.
- 1
= Type Of Dive ( In this example, the type of dive
is a "Forward" )
- 03
= Exact Dive ( In this example, the exact dive is
a "1 1/2 somersault" )
- C =
Position ( In this example, the position is is a
"Tuck" )
So a 103C
is a "Forward 1 1/2 Somersault Tuck"
If a dive
has 4 numbers, the first two numbers are the type
of dive. Example 52 is backward twist, so a 5233B is a
Backward Twisting 1 1/2 Somersault Pike.
That is
all there is to it. Use the conversions below and you are
ready to recognize any dive when it is called at a dive meet.
